and aural comprehension. Includes oral and written work, cultural material,
and selected readings. (1, 1) 201 Intermediate Japanese I A review of the essentials of Japanese grammar with the introduction
of advanced structures, continued development of the four essential skills,
and further acquisition of vocabulary. An emphasis will be placed on
cultural issues and on conversational skills to handle situations of
everyday life and to increase the range of personal expression, inclusion
of cultural materials. (1) 202 Intermediate Japanese II A review of the essentials of Japanese grammar with the introduction
of advanced structures, continued development of the four essential skills,
and further acquisition of vocabulary. An emphasis will be placed on
conversational skills to handle situations of everyday life and to increase
the range of personal expression, inclusion of cultural materials. The
course will also include materials to foster a more sophisticated understanding
of the philosophical and cultural foundation of the country. (1) |
