Ratings Final 2003-04
Southern Cal and LSU share the championship and everybody's happy ... except for anyone with a computer that still thinks that Oklahoma is number one. I can try a couple of ifs and buts: really the computer shows what is essentially a three-way tie between Oklahoma and the two champions. If you ignore Oklahoma, that's pretty impressive. And Oklahoma was so totally dominant during the "regular season" that maybe they deserve a split of the title as regular season champ. Ok, I'll agree that's pretty weak. Anyway, that's how this computer system works, and this can be used as a good argument for including more than just the season totals in the computer model. But that's a job for somebody else.
Sorry about the lack of weekly ratings this year. As Tony Kornheiser says, I'll do better next time. See you next year!1 | Oklahoma | 66.65 |
