101, 102 Elementary Ancient Greek I, II
A study of the fundamentals of Classical Greek, with emphasis
on grammar, vocabulary, and translation. Students will also
read selected texts in translation as an introduction to the cultural
life of ancient Greece. (1, 1)
Lecture: 3 hrs/wk.; Laboratory 1 hr/wk.
Prerequisite: GREK 101, or its equivalent, is a prerequisite for 102.
201 Intermediate Ancient Greek I
A continuing study of Classical Greek, with emphasis on more
complex grammatical structures, vocabulary, and translation.
Students will read selected excerpts in Greek as part of an
ongoing introduction to the cultural life of ancient Greece. (1)
Lecture: 3hrs/wk.
Prerequisite: GREK 102.
