101, 102 Elementary Latin I, II
A study of the fundamentals of classical Latin, with emphasis
on grammar, vocabulary, and translation. Students will be
introduced to the cultural life of ancient Rome. (1, 1)
Lecture: 3 hrs/wk.
Prerequisite: LATN 101, or its equivalent, is a prerequisite for
LATN 102.
201: Intermediate Latin I
A continuing study of Latin, with emphasis on more complex
grammatical structures, vocabulary, and translation. Students
will read selected excerpts in Latin as part of an ongoing introduction
to the cultural life of ancient Rome. (1)
Lecture: 3 hrs/wk.
Prerequisite: LATN 102.
202 Intermediate Latin II
A continuing study of Latin, with emphasis on more complex grammatical structures, vocabulary, and translation. Students will read selected excerpts in Latin as part of an ongoing introduction to the cultural life of ancient Rome. (1)
Lecture: 3 hrs/wk.
Prerequisite: LATN 201.
