A major in Rhetoric is not offered at Roanoke College. The following is a common course shared by the Communication Studies, Creative Writing, and Literary Studies Majors.
125 Texts, Rhetoric and Media
An exploration of the common rhetorical principles that are
foundational in the fields of Communication Studies, Creative
Writing, and Literary Studies. Students will learn the basic
rhetorical terminology used in the different fields, and learn to
apply them in the critical analysis of a variety of cultural texts
from the three points of view. (1)
