Sports analytics is one of the fastest-growing interdisciplinary fields in the world. Professional teams in all sports are hiring analysts to monitor team play, team finances, and marketing. With the Sports Analytics concentration, Roanoke College joins select colleges that are starting sports analytics programs. The concentration at Roanoke College builds off of the success of Stat Crew, in which students record data at Roanoke College home games and organize the data into reports to the coaches. The concentration formalizes and expands the success of Stat Crew by combining a foundation of significant courses in the field with two half-units of hands-on experience. Link to Stat Crew page.
